Myanmar PDF Showcases Home-Built AK

This video, released by a People’s Defense Force (PDF) unit in Myanmar, features a direct comparison of an off-the-shelf AK to the quality they have managed to achieve in a home workshop, under the Junta’s radar. While this AK clone was likely built with a parts kit, the work overall is still impressive as compared to the slam-bang shotguns and zip guns fielded by PDF fighters a few years ago. PDF units continue to raise funds for, and purchase weapons abroad- particularly specialist weapons such as sniper rifles- but naturally, being able to produce functioning weapons domestically frees up funds. The ingenuity of the PDF’s armorers spans across small arms in the AK and AR families, and even includes drones.
