A Pakistani Ranger has been killed and 10 other people injured when a Baloch separatist VBIED targeted their vehicle in a busy Karachi district on Mar. 15, 2021.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsible for the attack. Reports indicate the explosive device was hidden on a parked motorcycle and command detonated as the Pakistani military vehicle drove past. Two other Rangers were wounded in the attack and the remaining injured were reported to be nearby civilians.

The Pakistani Rangers are a federal paramilitary law enforcement unit that operate under Pakistan's Interior Ministry. The BLA is a armed separatist movement fighting for their province's independence from the Pakistani government.
