Marines at PB Georgetown Repel Taliban Attack

Marines from 1st Battalion 6th Marines take accurate indirect and smalls fire from a Taliban attack on their patrol base, and repel it with great prejudice.

This short video, recorded by a combat cameraman embedded with 1st Battalion 6th Marines, shows a small portion of a five hour firefight that ends when Marines utilize heavy machine guns and TOW missiles to repel a Taliban attack against their position near the Helmand River.

At the conclusion of the hours-long gunfight, the Marines were able to medevac their wounded. This was just your average day in Afghanistan.
