0341 is an MOS that Marine Corps infantrymen have a love - hate relationship with. On the one hand, the average infantrymen loves their company and battalion mortarmen. They're loved because on a moment's notice these guys will drop everything that they're doing, fill the pit, and create a maelstrom of steel rain that the enemy can do absolutely nothing about. On the other hand however, they're hated out of jealousy because a majority of every field op for them is spent sitting around on camp chairs playing spades waiting for the rest of to radio into them for help.
