Marine Disarms Gas Station Robber In A Single, Swift Motion

On October 20th, 2021, three hooded punks entered a gas station armed with a handgun and attempted to rob the place. Little did they know, they were about to engage in a close quartered beatdown with a Marine.

At around 4:30 a.m., Yuma County deputies were dispatched to the Chevron gas station located at 10747 E. North Frontage Road, after an attempted armed robbery took place. Upon arriving in the area, the incident was already under control, after a customer man handled and disarmed the armed robber. The man was able to detain the armed suspect until police officers arrived, where they later took the robber into custody.

In a later statement, the Marine mentioned that he was able to successfully apply his hand-to-hand combat training he learned during his time in the Marine Corps. During a later interview, the good Samaritan stated, "The Marine Corps taught me not to f*** around". As shown in the footage, that proved to be true.

The suspect detained during the incident was a juvenile and was booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center for one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault. The other two suspects are still currently outstanding. No injuries reported from any of the victims. This case remains under investigation.
