Justin Trudeau Gets Convenient Case of COVID-19 as Truckers Hold Firm

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has conveniently tested positive for COVID-19 and gone into hiding just as the Canadian Freedom Convoy has arrived in the capital city of Canada.

Unless you've been living under a rock the past six weeks, chances are high that you're well aware of the Canadian Freedom Convoy. In the off chance you aren't aware, the Freedom Convoy is a protest by Canadian Truck Drivers that aims to end all public health mandates and government overreach that has been exploited over the last two years. They are also calling for an end to vaccine passports, which restrict Canadians from travelling by plane or train within their own country, leaving Canada, and barring the unvaccinated from entering liquor and pot stores in some provinces. Quebec has also introduced an unvaccinated tax on its citizens, while most provinces also block those without a passport from attending community events.

The convoy itself landed in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, several days ago and shows no signs of leaving any time soon. The truckers have caused massive traffic jams throughout the city, and thousands of protestors have joined the convoy to stand in solidarity with the truck drivers in protesting the vaccine mandates throughout Canada.

In response to the protests, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has conveniently tested positive for COVID-19 and is apparently a-symptomatic while being a breakthrough case. Since he has COVID-19, the Canadian Prime Minister will not be addressing the protestors directly, rather he will apparently be handling the entire situation through Twitter, hoping that the protestors simply go away while he's in hiding. Meanwhile, the protestors show no signs of leaving any time soon.

Trudeau has repeatedly called the protestors a "fringe minority" as tens of thousands of semi trucks have flooded the city of Ottawa making it impossible for the people of the city to move anywhere. Meanwhile, the protest itself has moved past ending just the cross-boarders vaccine mandate, and has become a call for an end to vaccine mandates across the entire country of Canada. The protestors have also vowed to not stop protesting until the mandates come to an end, even if that means waiting out Mr. Trudeau's "breakthrough case" of COVID-19.
