Jihadists Release Drone Video Attack On Russian-Turkish Convoy

Days after posting a teaser video of the July 14, 2020 SVBIED attack against a Russian-Turkish convoy in Idlib, Syria, the jihadist group Kataib Khattab al-Shishani released a more complete video, and this time it even has a birds-eye-view angle recorded by a drone.

The footage was analyzed on Twitter by open-source researcher Hugo Kaaman who likened the production style to that of ISIS videos at the height of their existence. The new footage also shows the weaponized vehicle getting into position, charging the convoy, and detonating a few meters too early to inflict catastrophic casualties.
