Drone-recorded footage shows the destruction of a Russian BTR-80 armored personnel carrier with a "top-down" attack reportedly carried out by a US-made FGM-148 Javelin missile. The munition can be seen dropping down onto the target just before the blast.

The exact weapon system used in the operation is unconfirmed and could also have been a UK-Sweden developed NLAW, which is also capable of top-down attacks. Armored vehicles tend to have the least amount of protection on the top, so various weapon systems have been designed to exploit that weakness.

Interestingly, the location of this incident is just tens of meters from our previous post regarding the destruction of a Russian ammunition truck, which occurred earlier in the day. The destroyed supply truck can be seen in the lower portion of the screen, and the yellow van can be used as a point of reference in both videos.
