Unconfirmed video reportedly shows the use of a massive car bomb (SVBIED) by the Islamic State against an Egyptian checkpoint on the Sinai peninsula.

The audio on the footage also suggests a large scale battle was taking place at the time. Recent weeks have seen an escalation of violence by ISIS against pro Egyptian government forces, as well as rival jihadist groups in the region.
