A recent video out of Israel shows the Iron Dome mobile air defense system intercepting and destroying multiple terrorist-launched rockets that were targeting a Tel Aviv residential area.

During Operation Protective Edge, the Iron had a 90 percent hit rate against Hezbollah rockets targeting populated areas (735 intercepts). The system is extremely effective, but also extremely expensive with each interceptor costing more than $70,000.
