Iraqi Tribesmen In Rolling Gunfight With ISIS in Anbar, 2024

This footage, provided by one of the Al Jighaifa tribesmen who are fighting ISIS in Iraq, shows a group chasing down three ISIS vehicles in their own Toyota truck, firing at them as they speed across the desert toward Hawran Valley. The date is included to differentiate the footage from other incidents in Iraq.

In the best promo Toyota could ever hope for, the three ISIS trucks are shown driving to the left of the Al Jighaifa truck as the passengers pour fire into them from the truck’s windows. There appears to be a mix of M4s and Soviet-style heavier machine guns. At 01:13, the tribesmen dismount and fire on the ISIS crew from stationary and prone positions. They are able to keep shooting at fairly impressive distances, given that there is so little to obstruct their lines of sight.

At 02:15, a tribesman is shown opting for accuracy by volume, switching to the SAW and just holding it down. Although two of the three ISIS vehicles manage to escape, this video has everything it needs to be awesome: Toyota technicals, cyclic machine gun fire and locals telling ISIS to shove it.

Here is a video of the same guys putting in work last month, but the Al Jighaifa tribe has been opposing ISIS for at least the last decade, with the Institute for the Study of War mentioning them in sitreps as far back as 2014.
