A video from Iraq's war against ISIS reportedly shows Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) humvees staged in a column along a roadway when suddenly an improvised explosive device (IED) is detonated directly under their motorcade.

US troops are taught to constantly be scanning for IEDs in situations like these. Immediately upon a tactical halt, vehicle crew members and dismounts are conducting "5s and 25s," meaning that they first scan at their feet for anything out of the ordinary (5 meters), and then scan out to further distances (25 meters).

Unfortunately, every single piece of Iraqi ground is littered with garbage, making the task of identifying camouflaged booby traps an uneasy task. It's not clear from the footage provided how many, if any, casualties were sustained by the Iraqi troops in this incident.
