Video from the nose camera of a French helicopter shows the destruction of a Houthi drone in the Red Sea. According to the French Ministry of Defense, the drone was targeting merchant vessels in the Red Sea area of operations when their helicopter destroyed it. The helicopter was with a French Naval Vessel in the region conducting operations as part of the EUNAVFOR's Operation Aspides which began on February 19, 2024.
