Home Security Camera Catches Distant Shelling of Nikolaev

Footage recorded on the home security camera of a civilian home in the outskirts of Nikolaev captures the shelling of the city itself on April 16, 2022.

Something that's actually been a surprise to me throughout the conflict thus far is the limited amount of home security camera footage that's been uploaded. It's easy to think that a majority of it may have just been overlooked or overshadowed by the more exciting video coming out of the region, but still, there are thousands of home security camera systems throughout Ukraine, all of which have mostly managed to stay powered on as the fighting rages all around them.

I suspect that in the future more of the footage recorded on home security camera systems will begin to surface. This specific footage was recorded today from the outskirts of Nikolaev. It shows the direct shelling of the city in the distance.
