Full Auto Gang Shootout Erupts at Traffic Light in Dense Traffic

On June 24, 2021, dashcam footage captured the moments a gang shootout occurred on the south side of Chicago, in dense traffic at a red light. The man behind the dash cam, Huber Pereznegron, was driving with a friend that Thursday morning, when they soon approached a red light on 87th Street near Lafayette. Directly in front of Pereznegron was a red Nissan Altima.

Unbeknown to Pereznegron, this car would soon become a direct threat to him and all the other individuals trapped in the dense traffic. Within a few seconds of pulling up behind the Nissan Altima, Pereznegron spotted a man exiting the rear driver side of the car with what appeared to be a "long-rifle". During an interview, Pereznegron stated, he thought the weapon was fake, until he heard multiple shots fire at a vehicle further ahead.

Becoming concerned with his position, Pereznegron and his friend slid down in their seats, in an attempt to avoid cross fire from the other attackers. Lucky for all involved, no by standers were reported injured due to the gun fire. The Chicago Police Department is still investigating the situation and are looking for suspects. If you have any further information, please contact your local law enforcement agency, or send us an email.
