Footage of an FSA fighter trying to return to the cover of an alley shows the man expending all of his luck in a single slide behind a berm. If he had nine lives, he just spent eight of them.

If you've deployed in a combat arms capacity to a kinetic environment, there's a strong chance that this guy was someone in your unit at one point. I think every Marine, Soldier, Airmen, or Sailor that I've talked to that has served in combat on the ground has at least one story about a guy like this. He's the guy who would duck to tie his boots just as the sniper shot. He's the guy who would get hit by frag from a grenade, and it would literally get stopped by his groin protector.
