Firearm Shoplifter Struck By Two Tons Of Justice

Footage from a 2015 incident shows an officer from the Marana Police Department, who has clearly had enough of this armed thief's s***, hitting an armed robber with two tons of justice.

On February 19, 2015, Marana officers responded to an incident which involved a shoplifter who earlier that morning entered the Marana Walmart and stole a weapon. Witness reports later stated, the man gained possession of the firearm and while in the store, loaded it, fired a round, then walked out.

In the footage provided, we see the initial responding officer locate the suspect, who is actively holding and pointing the loaded firearm under his chin. With a clear indication of mental instability, the officer attempts to convince the suspect by stating "you don't want to do this". Still armed with the rifle, the suspect continues to walk away from the officers cruiser. A few moments later, a single shot is fired straight into the air, further raising the threat level of the situation.

As the initial officer continues to pursue behind the suspect, an additional responding cruiser shows up on the scene. Taking it upon himself, the second officer accelerates the vehicle and passes the initial responding officer. Instead of taking any risk, this officer utilizes his vehicle as a weapon and slams directly into the armed suspect, immediately halting the standoff.

The suspect, who was later identified as Mario Valencia, was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Valencia was not only charged for this incident of armed robbery, but was tied to multiple crimes such as home invasion, auto theft, and arson.

No officers or civilians were injured during this incident, and no officer returned fire on the suspect.
