Englishman Finds WWII US Serviceman's Name Carved Into Tree, Where Is He Now?

An Englishman recently found the name of a WWII US service member carved into a tree and wants help from the internet in finding the man responsible.

The US military set up massive camps across the English countryside as a staging area for operations into the European theater.

The name "Bob Hughes" along with "Lorain, Ohio" can be seen carved into a tree. Unfortunately there are very few of our WWII vets still alive today, and the chances of Bob Hughes still being among us is slim. However, his family would probably love to see the memory of their loved one living on, so far from home. It's always good to remember the legacy of our warfighters.
