Footage recorded by a Ukrainian drone pilot captures a small Russian FPV drone trying to destroy a Ukrainian drone operator's device. The event cascades into an evasive battle between the two drone pilots, and ends when the Russian operator's FPV drone crashes to the Earth in a fireball.

More and more throughout the war in Ukraine we're seeing scenes like this unfold. It seems as if the best defense against drones is actually just using other drones to take down enemy drones while they're on a mission to deploy munitions against infantry on the ground.

It will be interesting to watch this unfold, as drones are still in the Maxim Gun era of their development as weapon systems. The pilots are going to get better, automated systems are going to be developed, and the drones will continue to get smaller, cheaper, faster and more deadly.
