Like it or not, Privates are gonna Private. Sometimes, no amount of training will ever fix an individual Recruit or Private. They're just broken from the start, and nothing a Drill Sergeant or Drill Instructor does will ever fix them. Don't get me wrong, our Nation's Drill Instructors and Drill Sergeant's are the absolute top of the line. They have the best instructional training a person can have. A mediocre Drill Sergeant could teach a Gold Fish how to throw a hand grenade, and that's an absolute fact. Sometimes though, the Privates and Recruits that show up to Basic Training or Boot Camp are just actually dumber than a Gold Fish.
