CCTV security camera footage shows an off-duty, plain-clothed police woman defend herself from armed carjackers in Maipú, Chile in May 2020.

This woman saved her property and her own life by being aware of her surroundings, a trait few people actually possess. She not only took immediate notice of the arrival of the attackers, but made the split second decision to draw her concealed sidearm and fire. She then smartly maneuvered behind her vehicle to use as cover as the perpetrators fired back at her.
