Viral dashcam footage captured by a Virginia police officer, shows the moments a car lost control and nearly killed two officers and two bystanders during an accident investigation. The accident occurred on October 3rd, 2021 on the southbound side of Highway 83.

Two officers from the Gate City Police Department, Officer Jessica McGraw and Officer Matthew Stewart, responded to the incident. As shown in the footage, officer Stewart nearly caught a glimpse of the car losing control, grabbed officer McGraw by her ballistic vest, and threw her to safety seconds before the car slammed into the police cruiser. At this time, no one involved in the incident were injured.
