Both Views: Turkish Pilot Narrowly Avoids ATGM During Insertion

Both perspectives of an ATGM attack against a Turkish helicopter making an insertion. The pilot narrowly avoids being blown to pieces and saves the squad on the ground from imminent death.

It's not every day that both perspectives of an ATGM attack are stitched together quite so well. Normally you only get one perspective, and that's the perspective of the ATGM crew as they sit a little more than a kilometer away from their target, firing from almost complete safety. In this instance however, the ATGM is a miss as the target manages to pull off of the target area just in time to avoid the ATGM strike altogether. Had the pilot been struck by this ATGM, not only would the insertion have gone completely awry, more likely several of the troops he had just dropped off would have been killed in the ensuing chaos.

Normally, we like to stay away from the more recent Turkey / PKK combat footage, because it's been almost impossible to get any real information out of the fight between the two groups. This however is an exception because both sides are breaking the meta and bringing us this weird split-screen footage. Pretty soon they'll both be live streaming the combat footage and complaining that the other is screen peaking, to gain an unfair advantage.
