A Syrian Arab Army BMP slow rolls up on a position, lets loose a couple rounds from its main gun, and then doesn't overstay its welcome. This is rare footage of the Syrian Civil War displaying some competency.

One of the constants throughout the Syrian Civil War is the absolute lack of warfighting prowess that's been displayed by literally every side of the conflict. We have published videos in the past showing two company sized elements from opposing sides sitting on berms 100 yards away from each other just unloading for eight to ten minutes without a single side achieving an enemy kill. On top of that, in that same video, when one side started to retreat, the other just picked up and walked back, no territory control was transferred that day. The sheer incompetency of all fighters involved is largely why the conflict has been going on for as long as it has.

What we got here though is a small break from the norm. A BMP driver pulls into a position, opens up with his main gun, and then scoots before enemy rocketeers can get a bead on him. Had the crew inside of the BMP decided to sit in their position and keep shooting, there's no way they would have survived the onslaught of RPGs that flew directly at them as they were pulling away. Now, I'm not saying these guys are highly trained or super skilled at operating their vehicle. I'm saying they displayed a bit of basic competency in maneuvering their vehicle in time to not die.
