Biden Can't Remember SecDef's Name Or The Word "Pentagon" on Live TV

At what point does an unending series of gaffes become considerable evidence of POTUS' deteriorating cognitive health? In a press conference to commemorate International Women’s Day by promoting two female service members to the rank of general, a visually confused President Biden couldn't recall the name of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who was standing right behind him at the time, and referred to the Pentagon as "that outfit over there."

While the cringe-inducing flub is seriously disrespectful to Secretary Austin, it should be alarming to the rest of us, considering this man is the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful nation on Earth. President Biden has regularly gone mentally absent, forgetting the names of cabinet picks, confusing President Trump with President Bush, and at one point, couldn't recall the name "Obama."

Air Force Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost was promoted to lead the US Transportation Command, and Army Lt. Gen. Laura Richardson was promoted to lead the US Southern Command. Their appointments are yet to be confirmed by the Senate.

Considering we still have four to eight years left of this spectacle, the odds are favorable that live-TV cameras will capture POTUS asking who crapped his pants.
