Members of the San Diego Police Department respond to a 9-1-1 call about about an assault with a deadly weapon that turned into a standoff with a barricaded suspect.

On the morning of August 23, 2022, members of the San Diego Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call about an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, officers quickly ascertained that the suspect, 48-year-old Scholar Wang, was barricaded in his house. They established a perimeter and attempted to make contact with Wang using a loud speaker, but the suspect refused to exit the house.

Shortly after, the decision was made to enter the house with a police K9. The video above is the full critical incident report that was released by the San Diego Police Department on Tuesday.
