Baluchistan separatists of the Baloch Liberation Army filmed the assassination of Major Nadeem Bhatti on May 8, 2020. The BLA rebels accused him of killing civilians, burning villages, abductions, and drug dealing. A total of six Pakistani troops were reportedly killed in the attack.

BLA claims to be protecting its motherland against foreign intruders to protect its people and that international laws allow any person or nation to act in self defense.
