Some countries attach weapon systems to their airframes. In America, we build a weapon system and then attach an airframe to it so that it can fly. This is the A-10.

The A-10 is by far, one of the most devastating close air support weapon systems ever designed. It has the ability to pass by a firefight and completely end it in a single burst. For that reason, there is no greater sound on the battlefield than that of the iconic "Brrrrt" made by an A-10 as it zips past your location low and slow.

This video is one of my favorite shorts on the A-10. It doesn't show a whole lot of sexy flight maneuvers. It doesn't show a whole lot of kinetic combat footage. What it does show is how the A-10 was built for ground combat in the modern era of war.
