Combat footage from Afghanistan shows troops of the 101st Airborne Division in a firefight with Taliban insurgents, and one of the soldiers gets wounded by RPG shrapnel during the engagement.

As the engagement begins, a sister unit to the west is in contact with the enemy. The unit shown is told not to engage to avoid a crossfire that could lead to fratricide. However, a separate Taliban element begins attacking from the north. The filming unit then unleashes a steady rate of small arms fire at known and suspected enemy positions.
