Recent video footage out of Ukraine shows the Ukrainian 46th Separate Assault Battalion adjusting counter battery artillery fires against enemy troops in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine.

According to local reports, the Russian military has recently sent multiple battalions of troops and 40 tanks to Luhansk to bolster separatist forces.

“I would like to note the Russian Federation is strengthening its military units along the state border. There is clear evidence that new battalions of the tactical group have arrived at the Kadamovsky and Kuzminsky training grounds, as well as the units of the third motorized rifle division are deployed along the state border in Luhansk region,” said Commander of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Serhiy Nayev.

“Forty-four tanks were recorded in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region. They were pulled to the villages of Myrne and Kruhlyk. … The Ukrainian military is conducting intelligence activities and is ready to fight back in case of an offensive,” he added.
