A cool video shows Ukrainian Su-27 Flankers flying alongside Ukraine’s new R-360 Neptune cruise missile during a military testing operation.
Ukraine’s Neptune cruise missile has been in development since 2015 and has now been fielded by the Ukrainian military in December 2019. The munition is essentially a redesigned Soviet Kh-35 anti ship cruise missile, with significant improvements made to range and guidance electronics.
The Neptune can be fired from land, sea, or air, and was designed to destroy combat surface ships and enemy troop transport vessels. The munition has a range of approximately 185 miles.
