Back-to-back-to-back TOW strikes hit Saudi-coalition vehicles somewhere in Yemen. It’s been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. By that definition, the following video is absolute insanity.
Houthi rebels target an initial cluster of lightly armored coalition vehicles and dismounted infantry with a TOW system. After the first missile devastates the group scattering the surviving troops and remaining vehicle, another armored vehicle is brought up possible attempting to evacuate bodies and the wreckage. Unsurprisingly, the rebels quickly engage and destroy this truck with a second missile.
Now with two smoldering wrecks on the exposed hill and likely a bit of time having lapsed, insanely, a third truck is then brought into the well-defined kill-zone. As it idles and several soldiers stand around contemplating their next move, the Houthi’s fire off a third missile and again knock out the vulnerable truck. Finally, it dawns on the coalition troops that this isn’t a great place to be and they retreat on foot.
