A TOW missile is fired at a possible Hezbollah truck. Moments before impact, the vehicle pulls forward, and narrowly dodges a direct hit.
Introducing: The luckiest pickup truck driver in all of Syria. At the last second, the occupants of this vehicle spotted the incoming TOW missile. They were quick on their feet, and pulled out of the path of the missile, just in time to save their own lives.
I would like everyone to take special note of the yellow flag flying just to the right, and slightly above the truck in the video. This flag, looks a lot like the flag flown by Hezbollah.
It has been no secret that Hezbollah is on the ground inside of Syria, supporting the Assad Regime. Their involvement in the conflict has been key to regime success in many areas. Hezbollah has been openly operating in support of the regime since 2013.
Hezbollah’s primary purpose for getting involved with the civil war, is to ensure that Assad stays in power. Syria has been harboring their weapons cache’s and training camps for a long time. If Assad were to fall out of power, this may no longer be the case.
The loss of these weapon caches and training camps, would be extremely detrimental to their continued operations against Israel. If you would like to read more about the involvement of Hezbollah in the Syrian Civil War, you can do so here.
