A TOW missile causes a heavy machine gun position to collapse right from underneath a member of the crew, who falls at least 15 feet onto rubble concrete.
A group of Syrian Soldiers are manning a heavy machine gun position in Lattakia, Syria. It’s obvious by their posture that they feel relatively safe in their nest. They are elevated, and out of range for most of their targets. The one rebel target they don’t see, and most certainly don’t out-range, just happens to be a rebel TOW crew.
The Obama-era practice of arming jihadist rebels with TOW missiles for use against Syrian Regime Troops was officially ended this summer. However, TOW missiles are still in circulation and continue to make hits on Syrian troops. The Central Division of the Free Syrian Army released a video earlier this month of them destroying a Syrian tank with a US TOW missile in support of the rebranded al Qaeda group Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS).
