Daesh has gained and lost a lot of ground over the past few years. This time lapse video shows the evolution of their lines since the groups beginning.
ISIS, ISIL, Daesh, however you want to refer to the extremist faction in Iraq and Syria, it doesn’t matter. This militant faction started started gaining real traction in April of 2013. Their psychosis, and extremist mind-set immediately started to spread.
The below video from Peter Ridilla is a time lapse that shows the evolution of the Daesh front-line. It begins on April 8, 2013, and goes all the way until January 30, 2016. As the time lapse continues, it shows the group gaining control in countries outside of Iraq and Syria.
Not included in this video is the activities of Daesh in areas like Afghanistan, and Egypt.
