The U.S. Army’s Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) is an advanced, battery-powered exoskeleton that will give our operators the edge on the battlefield.
The suit’s liquid armor offers superior ballistic protection while improving physical maneuverability in combat. Built-in communications and optical instruments will allow the wearer to be more situationally aware and quickly informed of changes in a kinetic environment.
The suit has an estimated price tag of $80 million and is expected to have combat-ready platforms in service by late 2018. The research and development of the project is said to have made great leaps in armor and communications advancements for the military as a whole.
