Marines in the Musa Qala district of Afghanistan engage Taliban insurgents in a series of gun fights on Panda Ridge in this 12 minute slug fest.

When the Marines of 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines, did their first major clearing operation in the Musa Qala district, they intercepted a single Taliban transmission. That transmission was simple, and to the point. It showed that the Taliban were not only taken back by the Marines’ violence of action, but absolutely terrified at the concept having to fight these new comers.

“The British were chickens. But these men….the American Marines… they fight like animals. Like they weren’t even human.” -Communications that were intercepted from a Taliban commander after they lost Karamanda to 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines.
