Unconfirmed video footage out of Syria appears to show Syrian air defense missiles malfunctioning and detonating at ground level within a residential area.
The air defense system was likely attempting to intercept Israeli airstrikes which have been targeting Iranian military targets in Syria. It’s not clear from the footage what system was in use. The Syrians employ an array of air defense systems including; S-300, SA-22, SA-3, S-200, and the BUK Missile System.
Israel has reportedly struck 28 Iranian Quds Force and Syrian Arab Army targets on Tuesday night in Syria, resulting in 23 deaths.
