ISIS Suicide Bomber Explodes Surrounded By Iraqi Troops

A video from Spring 2017 shows multiple angles of an ISIS suicide bomber detonating himself while surrounded by Iraqi troops.

As Iraqi Troops advance on a small village south of Mosul, intent on recapturing the area from ISIS, a suicide bomber detonates himself. The suicide bomber was laying in wait, pretending to be dead until the moment to strike finally came. While the Iraqi troops are advancing, dead set on getting to their objective, the fighter detonates his suicide belt creating what appears to be two casualties.

Attacks like this are common place when dealing with Daesh. The fighters have no fear of death, in fact they embrace it with open arms. Martyrdom is success to them, and a majority of the fighters found around Mosul have been wearing similar devices to what is seen in this video.

The second video angle is from Kurdish reporter Hunar Ahmed and his Rudaw news team. They were embedded with Iraqi Federal Police near Mosul when the unit came under complex attack by Islamic State forces. The ISIS fighters were eventually shot down or sent into retreat.

As the police move forward to clear their objective area, a wounded ISIS member detonates his suicide vest as he is surrounded by troops and reporters, injuring some police and sending pieces of himself flying in all directions.
