Study: Military Drinks More Alcohol Than All Other Professions

According to a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American service members drink alcohol on more days of the year than any other profession… and no one is surprised.

To validate this claim, here are a few examples of the troops getting turnt:

Iceland 2018: A force of approximately 7,000 sailors and Marines in Iceland for NATO’s Trident Juncture exercise took to the local bars and drank the country nearly out of alcohol in a single weekend. Amazingly, no service members were reported for legal infractions as a result of the several day beer binge.

Japan 2019:
A Japanese couple woke in the early morning hours to find an inebriated US sailor buck-naked in their shower. The local man “subdued” the blacked out nude sailor until police arrived to make the arrest.

Approximately 27,000 workers from 25 different industries completed surveys about their drinking between the years of 2013 and 2017.

The average alcohol consumption was 91 drink days per year. The military averaged 130 days a year, with construction workers and miner coming in a close second.
