As the SDF continues to advance on Raqqa, with the aid of American Special Operations teams, they encounter some small resistance from a group of Daesh fighters. They quickly envelop and surround the extremists and put them in a no-win situation.
Realizing that the battle is already over, one of the Daesh fighters detonates a suicide belt that he is wearing in an attempt to give his buddies an attempt to retreat. The vest does nothing except kill him, and momentarily give the SDF soldiers pause before they continue their onslaught against the remaining Daesh-bags.
It’s interesting to think that while this is happening, the American Special Operations teams that are aiding and assisting the SDF are also probably within hand grenade range of these same ISIS fighters. Keep the push on, and fight hard. Raqqa will belong to the SDF very soon.
