A single RPG, fired by a Free Syrian Army rebel, is able to penetrate and destroy a Syrian regime BMP infantry fighting vehicle. The crew was either not occupying the vehicle at the time of the strike, or were asleep inside.
Regardless, the lack of discipline and security measures taken by Assad’s troops has apparently seen no improvement, even after multiple video recorded instances of these types of attacks. These rebels were not sneaky in any way. They spoke audibly the entire time they were getting in position, as well as repeatedly standing in the open.
