Brutal footage out of Mexico shows sicarios (cartel hitmen) using a GoPro type camera to record an attack on Feb. 5, 2019, which resulted in the deaths of at least four people and a fifth being seriously wounded.

The video shows speed, surprise, and violence of action as the assault team rolls up in two vehicles. They dump several rounds of ammunition toward their targets before moving in closer to execute survivors. The attackers then advance through the dwelling to see if there are any more targets. Shots can be heard offscreen. The attackers hastily recover to their vehicles to exfiltrate the scene.

The gunmen reportedly belong to the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel, a rapidly rising criminal organization that has spread from Guanajuato into QuerĂ©taro and Hidalgo. The gang is said to have tripled in size and power in two short years. The cartel’s main racket is stealing oil from the many ducts and production facilities in their area of operation.
