“They Shall Not Grow Old” is a stunning new WWI documentary presented by Warner Brothers and written and directed by Peter Jackson.
Production of the film is using ground-breaking techniques to bring to life 100-year-old video clips from the Great War. This isn’t just colorized footage, but wholly remastered, giving the viewer an immersive look at history.
The scenes are cut from an archive of over 600 minutes of BBC World War I footage and is overlayed with interviews from soldiers that were there. While there is already a surprising amount of WWI footage in circulation, it was captured at odd speeds with relatively low quality equipment, which causes an emotional disconnect between the viewer and the subject.
The ground-breaking production techniques used in “They Shall Not Grow Old” correct and smooth out the timing and renders the grainy old footage into stunning high definition imagery.
The new documentary is being brought to the US for only two days of showings at select theaters. Find out where to see this film >>>HERE<<<
