Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier Sentinel Has A Bayonet Go Through His Foot

A Sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has a bayonet go through his foot, and still performs his duties flawlessly.

Soldiers stationed as sentinels at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are cut from a different cloth. They have meticulous and rigorous standards that set them far above their peers in the regular operating forces. While their duties and skill set may not necessarily be combat oriented while stationed at the position, they still show true dedication to duty and discipline in everything they do.

During a changing of the guard ceremony, an on-looker records a small goof up. While it seems small, at a closer glance we can see that there is a lot happening with the fumble. The soldier that drops the rifle drops it bayonet first into the shoe of the other soldier. He naturally flinches, because he is still human, but that doesn’t stop him from completing the ceremony even when blood is oozing out of his shoe.
