Imagine for a moment that you are not part of a first world military. You do not have access to electronic counter-measures. You do not have access to counter-battery systems that track incoming fire. Imagine, just for a second, that you do not even have the ability to move to a hardened structure when you hear the shots being fired.
Now imagine hearing what sounds like a small lawn-mower overhead. You know it’s a small quad-copter drone, but you can’t see the thing to shoot it down. Even if you could see it, you don’t possess the training or equipment needed to actually shoot it out of the sky. All you know is that the little drone is monitoring impacts, and walking those rounds directly on top of your head.
