Alleged FLIR footage of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) shooting down a Houthi piloted drone in air-to-air combat.
A purported RSAF F-15 shot down a Houthi piloted drone recently. The incident comes amidst a wave of Houthi drone attacks throughout Yemen, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, targeting various military targets and civilian infrastructure. The Saudi and UAE air defenses consisting of surface-to-air missile batteries and a host of advanced aircraft has been working overtime, destroying many of the homemade and Iranian supplied drones before they reach their targets. However, there has been several successful attacks including an attack on a key oil pipeline recently and Abu Dhabi International Airport last month. The drone in this particular video appears to be a Shahed-129, an Iranian built aircraft similar in design, capabilities, and size to the US MQ-1 Predator.
