After the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) announced they successfully eliminated Bahaa Abu el-Atta, the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, by means of precision airstrike, a flurry indiscriminately launched rockets began impacting across central and south Israel.

At least seven people were killed and 15 wounded as a result of the Jihadist rockets and Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday. One of the rocket impacts was recorded from multiple camera angles and is embedded below the article.

“Over the past year, this archterrorist was the main instigator of terrorism from the Gaza Strip. He initiated, planned and carried out many terrorist attacks … including hundreds of rockets at communities in the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said of slain terror leader killed Abu el-Atta.

According to reports, the operation to kill the terror leader had been approved for 10 days, but the IDF was waiting for a number of favorable conditions to align to maximize success while minimizing the chance of collateral damage.
