It’s common practice to “stack” on a doorway in training. It allows members of the unit to flow into the building, and conduct their CQB routine. In practice however, stacking on a doorway is not always the best idea, and here’s why.
In the footage below, coming out of Homs, Syria, a group of rebel fighters try to stack up before making entry. They take way too long though, and end up turning themselves into a nice juicy target. Before they can move any further, and actually get inside of the building they need to clear, a massive explosion rocks their entire world.
