How Reactive Tank Armor Is Installed On The M1A2 Abrams

Soldiers work with a contractor to learn the installation process for the SEPv2 TUSK II (The Urban Survival Kit) reactive armor system for the M1A2 Abrams.

The SEPv2 TUSK II is a reactive armor kit built for the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank. Created by General Dynamics Land Systems, it was developed with urban survivability in mind, and designed to improve on the original TUSK systems capabilities.

In the video below, soldiers work with contractors to learn about the installation, maintenance, and repair of the system. Soldiers are required to have a basic understanding of the system in order to ensure they can keep the system operational for long periods of time while in austere conditions.
